Important non financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI) – What is your Conversion Rate?

This is a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that focuses on the sales and marketing part of your business.

Its main focus is to ask the business how successful are you at converting potential clients / customers into actual clients / customers.

The Conversion Rate is calculated as:

Number of new clients / Number of potential clients.

A basic example using a retail business selling their goods over the web would be - of all the visitors to your website how many actually became customers and purchased your products.

The Conversion Rate is a good measure of the return on your marketing capital.
